Firefox in Windows XP Japanese vs Java runtime

If you are visiting web sites running java applet through your mozila firefox browser (Japanese win XP), you may get stuck. The browser will hang and stop responding. Even if you close your browser, it will run in the back ground and can be seen in your task list. you have to kill it manually through the task manager. This happen for all java versions and the problem can be easily reproduced.
Implicit expectation: If any plugin including Java encounters problem, the browser should not stop responding.
Work Around:
1) Do not use firefox, Use Internet explorer or any else.
OR
1) Uninstall all the versions of java runtime from your system
2) Change the language and location setting to english and other country via Settings->Control Panel->Regional and Language options.
3)Re-install the java run time.
4)Revert back to your prefered localization of above step 2
